Job Description

Job Title: Senior Data Engineer / Senior SQL Developer

Ideal Candidate Profile:

·         7+ years of experience in Data Engineering / SQL Development

·         Deep expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries

·         Strong hands-on experience with Talend, Snowflake, and DBT

·         Proficient in ReactJS for developing data dashboards and visualization components

·         Solid understanding of ETL pipelines, data modeling, and cloud deployment (AWS preferred)

·         Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills

·         Comfortable working in Agile environments and leading project delivery

·         Experience working with US clients or in the EdTech domain is a plus

  • Core Skills: Advanced SQL, Snowflake, Data Warehousing
  • ETL & Data Modeling: Talend (Big Data / Cloud), DBT
  • Frontend: ReactJs
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS
  • Scripting & Automation: Python (for workflow handling & integration)
  • Versioning & Monitoring: Git, JIRA, CI/CD, Debugging tools

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of complex SQL-based data pipelines and data models in Snowflake.
  • Own and enhance ETL/ELT processes using tools like Talend, DBT, and Python scripts for automation and integration.
  • Translate business logic into scalable SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance-tuned data structures.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources, including flat files, APIs (SOAP/REST), cloud services, and SFTP servers.
  • Develop and enhance ReactJS dashboards to support real-time data insights
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, drive architectural decisions, and deliver reliable data solutions.
  • Oversee deployment, version control (Git), production validation, and monitor pipeline health.
  • Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with offshore/onshore teams in Agile environments.
